Thermal cameras work in the infrared spectrum instead of visible light, resulting in images that make it easy to pick out heat sources. The features of the Zenmuse XT will be useful for services such as firefighters, police and farmers.


DJI and FLIR Systems have collaborated and created the new highly-integrated thermal Zenmuse XT. Both companies have combines their expertise and bought together the camera gimbal which is the ultimate solution for reliable, rapid deployable aerial thermal imaging. Great for capturing thermal images faster, covering large areas and saving them for analysis and reporting. “Almost every week we see new applications of our aerial technology. Adding thermal imaging as an additional sensor options for aerial platforms will open up new AND innovative uses for our users, whether it’s gaining strategic insight into how their crops are growing or more efficiently understanding the spread of fires.”



The user interface to use and control the Zenmuse XT is accessed through the DJI Go app. The DJI Go app allows the user to have complete camera control and allows you to edit configuration settings. Users can control different aspects such as the color palette selection, isotherms, level and span adjustment and the zooming feature. The new Zenmuse XT is available for the higher end drones such as the Inspire and Matrice series. This new camera will make drones much more powerful.
