As the Luftwaffe faced increasing challenges during WWII, German tanks found themselves exposed to enemy fighter attacks. In response, Germany developed a specialised set of armoured plates designed to be affixed on the turret and certain sections of the Panther's engine deck. These field-mounted steel plates were strategically double-spaced on the turret top to enhance protection against aircraft strafing and shrapnel.
Dragon's latest Premium Edition, item 6913, showcases a distinctive Panther Ausf.G equipped with these additional armour plates. This premium kit is enhanced with features such as Magic Tracks, 3D printed parts, a metal gun barrel, and copper cable.
